We've got the first few pages of issue two coming out on Sunday! I'm really excited about it. I thought we could share our thoughts on it here, and post any questions to the team as well so they can answer them for us.

Totally excite. Probably more than I was for Doctor Who, startlingly enough.

Yeah I love the colours in this one too. These might be in my favourite pages top ten. I'm intrigued by the Grange, and I'm surprised that we're getting Urbanite's 'real' identity so early too-I thought that would have been kept quiet for a bit longer. Unless this is a twist too... Really intrigued as to how this will develop.

I'm really enjoying it. I have to say the more pages go on the more I want a physical copy. I want to turn over the pages, stare at the artwork and most of all, read a page without scrolling up and down or shrinking.
Earlier today I reread from the beginning thinking the pages were going to be up earlier than they were and I was also struck by the way you seem to be deconstructing and analysing the whole structure of Superhero comics.
I'm thinking of the lines on page 6 "Pretty soon Urbanite ...will be on the scene, yowling justice. ...I'm not a performer. I'm not a costumed celebrity...... and in Gloria if you're not one of them... you're little people."
Precisely normal super comics focus on the showy people, and the collateral damage is irrelevant except for when they're going to be revealed to be important or to reveal something about the superheroes.
In the same way I noted that Cat notices the flower vendor isn't the normal one and knows their name.
We've already been reminded that Cat remembers lots of stuff but it still has the impact of humanising the crowd as it were.
I'm made a little nervous by the strand that a character who has just been described as gay may be revealed to be otherwise. But it's only a few pages I'm going to wait and see where that goes.

I hear you about the physical copy - we'll get there, I promise I like your idea of MSCSI humanizing the crowd - the impact or aftermath of a superhero story on the city is very rarely touched upon in the comics I've read so far, unless in the context of solidifying the mythical status of the superhero themselves: I'm thinking of the kids sharing Batman stories around a campfire, that kind of thing. I find it fascinating that Will has chosen to have Urbanite pose as gay, and I can't wait to see the reasoning given behind it.

Yay! Just read it - lovely composition - the lighting in the television scene was gorgeous.
I think the way we find out who Urbanite is immediately is a nice play on expectation, but also, it's an interesting choice because it disarms us for the real twist of Cat's realisation. And on that front - I'm intrigued... Since his identity is public anyway, what purpose is the ruse serving?
Can't wait til the next page comes out...

I've finally managed to have a look at the new pages on a computer rather than on my phone and seeing them in more detail is great. I definitely want a paper copy too. There's something about being able to pore over pages that's much better than staring at a computer screen. And of course, I have more thoughts now. First of all I love the cosy atmosphere there seems to be in the living room, and I love how Cat's sitting there in shorts and t-shirt with her hair up. This is totally humanising her and I really like that. I also love how Kit and Kay are sitting on the settee. They're clearly totally relaxed which each other, even down to the (quasi-)jealous bickering. Also, does Kit's t-shirt remind anyone of those colour changing t-shirts you got in the 90s, that changed colour depending on the heat? Is it just me or is there some doubt over who's stepping out of the car? I'm not sure if it's Urbanite or Misper - the guy standing behind the door on first glance should be the chauffer but the positioning of the Urbanite logo seems very deliberate. I wonder whether it's some kind of double-bluff. Like a few of you have said if the Urbanite's identity is public what would be the point in hiding his face. Or am I over-thinking things again?? I also went through the first issue because I thought that the clothes Misper's wearing were similar to the terrorist attacker (they're not) but did anyone notice the difference in names between what the newscaster says and Cat's mind map? The newscaster says Farley Grange and Brandon Stewart, but Cat's mind map has Brandon Grange and Farley Stewart. Anyone got any idea what that means? I'm wondering if it plays into what Cat says about Urbanite not being gay. I can see your unease about that, poetryghost, but I definitely trust Will to have a good reason for it, and I'm intrigued as to how it'll turn out. I'm also intrigued by Urbanite showing up in the alleyway at the end of the last issue. I thought this one might have led directly on from that. I wonder what he was doing, or if he just happened to be passing by...

I agree with you Beth, I really liked the 'family' scene where they were all sitting down so casual and relexed. The friendly bickering was a great addition- so very human! I didn't think it was actually possible to get more excited than I was already but I can't wait to read more! The colouring is so wonderful as well! Really amazing stuff so far
