So we've got it from the author that some of the things in the Issue 1 mindmap will come into play in Volume 2 (which is about 6 issues from now) and one of them will only become important in Volume 3. I think Urbanite is going to be important, based on the number of lines leading to and from it. I'm intrigued by the 'Your Lucky Day' TV series, and the dates of the terrorist attacks seem to have some sort of pattern to them (though I don't know why there's only two years between 88 and 90 when there's ten years between 77 and 88). And I hadn't noticed the little green nuclear waste (?) signs until I zoomed in on the map either. So. Ideas? I found it amusing that Cat almost definitely knows the 'secret' identities of several of the big name heroes in town!
I really want to know what the deal is with Kyla.

What do you want to know about Kyla, and maybe I will tell you. She is a character I'm really looking forward to getting to grips with, though she's kind of high level so doesn't exactly hang out in Gloria Village.

She is basically a multi-media, cross-platform brand, like Britney, and her main rival is Miss Sparkle, who runs a very similar pop music/beauty/fitness/fashion empire. Does she also fight crime? In Gloria, does anyone genuinely "fight crime"?

This mindmap is so appealing ! Some parts really make me want to know more, like the presence of Sekhmet. Egyptian mythology's so cool. But why the link between Sekmeth and the black cat circus ? I thought that Sekhmet was more the Lion feminine sun warrior-punisher aspect of the goddess, and Bastet more the cat - music - cool aspect. Or is that a way to emphasize the duality ?
The biohazard symbol is also intriguing... (@beth: ☣ can stand for all biohazards, toxic medical wastes, bacteria, virii... but the source needs to be biological for this symbol to be used, nuclear sources have their own: ☢ )
Hu, that's so exciting, can't wait to see what's coming !

Thanks Fenn! Couldn't remember what the symbol was of  I don't know enough about Egyptian mythology but that would be a good way to illustrate the duality of the character. |
