The response to MSCSI has been incredible. We raised our initial target of $1300 in less than two days, and then met our increased target of $1400 for issue 3 within five days of launch.
Thank you so much for believing in this project and supporting it with such faith and enthusiasm.
Here's what will happen next.
Firstly, we have passed on $300 of your generous donations directly to A Way Out. That's a fifth of the cost of getting an addicted girl out of street sex work and into recovery.
We are working on issue 2, right now. The script is complete, the bonus sketches and deleted scenes are ready, and the artists are already back at their drawing boards. Rather than make you wait for another complete episode, we are planning to release TWO new, full colour pages, every week, starting from March 31st. That way you can follow Cat's story the moment the pages are finished, and we can tell the complete story of Volume 1 within a year. So spread the word, because Sunday is now #MSCSISunday.
Meanwhile, we'll update you regularly from our Facebook page, where you can talk to the creative team and other Cat People, and get the earliest sneak peaks at preview art. Our Twitter account is another quick way to keep up with the latest on Cat Abigail Daniels. We're also adding a Community page to the website, to keep you in touch with the latest developments, and a discussion board where you can talk about Cat's story and share ideas about what's going to happen next. We're currently processing all the donations and sending out the rewards
On the Donate page you'll see two new 'level up' bars, raising funds for the remaining issues 4 and 5, so we can complete the first volume of Cat's story and continue our donations to A Way Out Once we've raised that total, we will close down the rewards system and stop taking any more money from the project ourselves -- there will still be a donate button on the site for you to give to our charity partners.
Thank you again. Together, we are all helping to create something different, and something better.
